Kaboni Capture Solutions Ltd is a private limited liability company incorporated in Uganda. We are the sole proponent of the Kaboni Biochar Project and are responsible for project development, financing, operation of pyrolysis facilities, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with Uganda's National Climate Change Regulations.

Woodcross Resources

Woodcross Resources established and operates Kaboni Capture Solutions. Woodcross is a Uganda-based natural resources group with on-the-ground industrial experience, including its tin smelting and refining operations in Mbarara — giving the Kaboni Biochar Project an established operating platform, local supply-chain relationships, and in-country engineering and logistics capability from day one.

That sponsorship matters: it means the project is not starting from a standing start. Land, plant construction, feedstock aggregation and community engagement are being delivered by a team that already runs processing infrastructure in the same region.

Omid Ameri, CFA

Co-Founder & Director

A CFA charterholder with a career spanning investment management and natural-resource project development, Omid leads Woodcross Resources' work in Uganda. He is responsible for capital structuring, carbon-market strategy and commercial partnerships for the Kaboni Biochar Project.

Kwesi Kutesa

Co-Founder & Director

Biography to follow. Kwesi leads in-country relationships, land and regulatory engagement, and the partnerships with farmer cooperatives that underpin the project's feedstock supply.

2024

Feasibility Studies Begin

Initial assessment of feedstock availability, pyrolysis technology and community readiness in Southwest Uganda.

2025

Pilot Production Runs

Three experimental production runs completed using locally sourced biomass. Laboratory results confirm biochar stability and quality.

2025

Application Submitted

Project application filed under Uganda's National Climate Change Regulations.

2026

Letter of No Objection

Regulatory approval pending — expected to unlock full-scale carbon credit issuance under Verra.

2026+

Scaling & Expansion

Phase 2 catchment expansion planned, with Karamoja identified as a candidate region.
