Project Overview

A CDR and soil restoration initiative rooted in Southwest Uganda.

The Kaboni Biochar Project is a carbon dioxide removal (CDR) and soil restoration initiative in Southwest Uganda. It uses controlled pyrolysis to convert agricultural and forest residues into biochar — a stable form of carbon that remains in soil for centuries.

Production Facility

Plot 51, Block 24 at Nyakakoni, Isingiro, Uganda. The facility draws feedstock from a 200 km radius spanning the full Phase 1 district set and adjoining production zones — not a single town or district. Woodcross Resources' tin refinery in Mbarara sits within the same corridor.
